Weekly Skins

In addition to regular tournaments, the Poplar Creek Men's Club sponsors a weekly "Skins" game for current club members. A skins game includes a simple betting format where players compete for "skins," or money, on a hole-by-hole basis, with the lowest score on a hole winning that hole's skin.
Guests of members are also welcome if there is availability, but only for one or two rounds and then will need to join the club to continue playing.
The "Skins" game features a $10 buy-in with winnings distributed after each round to the players with the lowest "Net" and/or "Gross" score on any given hole. The winnings are variable and are determined by the total number of participants each week and total number of holes won outright by players. We alternate the "Skins Game" format each week between "Net only" skins (lowest "Net" score wins the hole), and "Net and Gross" skins (lowest Net and Gross score wins the hole).
How to Register for Thursday Skins
If you would like to be placed on the "Skins Player Roster" please email gregcarey@sbcglobal.net and you will receive an invitation to play every week via email with buttons to click for "Playing" or "Not Playing".
If you click "Playing" you will receive confirmation back from Golf Genius soon after, and a Tee Sheet showing the groups that week by Wednesday evening. You can also cancel anytime up until 8:00 AM the morning of the round via email or text.
Important Policy
If you sign up to play, don't cancel and don't show up, you will be removed from the "Skins Player Roster" for three months. This requirement is necessary because setting up the tournament every week is much more difficult when people don't show up. Also, timely cancelling allows us to notify people that may be on the "Waitlist" that there is an open spot available.
